  • Congratulations Mr. Deen!

Mr. Jonathan Deen was selected as the Putnam County Charter School System Teacher of the Year for 2016-2017!  He will represent PCCSS during the state competition.

Georgia's Teacher of the Year Program (GTOTY) annually spotlights the teaching profession and recognizes outstanding public school teachers at the local and state levels.

The program is sponsored by the Georgia Department of Education. It is a prestigious awards program to focus attention on excellence in teaching. The first Georgia Teacher of the Year was selected in 1971.

  • College Fair!
Fifteen colleges participated in our Fall College Fair.  Many of our students took advantage of this opportunity to speak to the representatives and learn more about their colleges.  More pictures are on the Counseling page.  The Counseling page is updated frequently with important information regarding college admission, testing, scholarships, work opportunities, etc.  Make sure you check it out!

  • 2016 Region 8AA Cheerleading Champions!
The PCHS cheerleaders head to State this weekend!  Wish them luck!  More pictures on the Cheerleading page.

  • New Branding!
    From our Principal, Marc Dastous:

When I arrived in June, I realized we had been using both the Georgia Southern and the Philadelphia Eagle heads on our spirit wear. Unfortunately, many schools around the country are facing litigation because they don’t have permission to use such images. In an attempt to prevent such an occurrence at Putnam County High School, we worked with Varsity Brands to refresh the War Eagle images.

These are the only images that will be used to represent PCHS on spirit wear and the website in the future. Our collaboration and partnership with Herff Jones enabled us to complete the rebranding at no cost.

  • Dual-Enrollment Parent Meeting
Does your student have a dual-enrollment class listed on their schedule for next semester?  Does your student want to register for an online dual-enrollment class for next semester?  Simply want to know more about dual-enrollment at PCHS?

If you answered "YES" to any of these questions, please plan to attend the DE parent meeting to learn more about this exciting opportunity offered at PCHS.  Both parents, guardians, and students are highly encouraged to attend this meeting.  For students you have planned to take DE courses next semester, you MUST attend this meeting with a parent/guardian before you will be registered for your desired college classes.
